EMCS, GAMMA and your EXCISE DUTIES…
The European EMCS (Excise Movement and Control System) project is based on the dematerialisation of the Accompanying Administrative Document (AAD) which is set to become the Electronic Administrative Document (e-AD). CONEX is proposing a solution to this project whilst respecting the requirements of GAMMA (French Excise Goods Administrative Accompaniment Management) through its GAMMaccises package. This solution computerises the monitoring of excise goods (alcohol, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and energy products) movements inside the EU customs territory as well as transmitting data electronically via its own transmission platform.
From January 1st 2011, using GAMMA becomes obligatory for all intra-EU movements of excise duty-suspended products. In 2013 the GAMMA electronic procedure will also become obligatory for operators whose excise duty-suspended movements travel within French borders. |
