Renault’s choice

In 2008, RENAULT SA chose CONEX to take care of its DELTA customs clearance flows. In deed, Renault had to conform to French Customs requirements and begin using the new DELTA tool for all its customs clearance flows (export and import). CONEX, with its DELTApass software package, was offering a solution and a tool in perfect conformity with the DELTA. Throughout 2008, hundreds of companies saw proof of the efficiency of this software solution convincing RENAULT to adopt the same system last summer.

The conditions set

After numerous meetings, presentation days, studies and analyses, the project could finally begin in June 2008 with two major conditions attached:

- the project, including its operational launch, should not last longer than 5 months,
- the clearance of flows should operate as automatically as possible.

Furthermore, CONEX had to train the RENAULT project team and its direct users (customs declarants situated in Grand-Couronne near Rouen) in the utilisation of the DELTApass software

Partnership assessment

The CONEX project team was able to meet its client’s needs, requirements and deadline, responding with the same level of quality which has characterised the company throughout its 25 years of existence.
So, the operational launch could take place progressively between September and December 2008 free of any major problem. Currently some 6000 customs declarations transit via the CONEX platform and its DELTApass software each month, representing tens of thousands of vehicles and car parts both for exportation and importation.
Particularly satisfied by the services of CONEX, RENAULT has just entrusted the software editor with the study of 3 new projects.
